I am postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for Science, Innovation and Society (InSIS) at the University of Oxford. I work on the intersection of global governance and the politics of knowledge and state capacity.

I'm part of the research team for the project GGR: Governance and standards for carbon neutrality (Gascon) and the EU Horizon 2020 (OceanNETs project).

I also collaborate regularly with the Oxford Net Zero Initiative, the Oxford Scenarios Programme at Said Business School and the Energy Programme at El Colegio de México.

Before joining academia I worked for the Ministry of Energy of Mexico in charge of climate policy for the energy sector and on renewable energy planning. I also worked for WWF Mexico and consulted for the US National Renewable Energy Lab, UNIDO, and UNEP.

I read for my doctoral degree in Public Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government in the University of Oxford. I hold an MA in International Relations under the track on International Political Economy from the University of Chicago (Honors, 2017). I also hold an MPA in International Development from Tsinghua University (2011). And initially, I completed my undergraduate degree in International Relations at El Colegio de México.
